[Update!] Samsung denies withdrawal from Tizen – Intel also denied

Recently went to the Internet Rumor to that Samsung and Intel jointly from the project Tizen, which is largely driven by the two companies, to rise. We have deliberately omitted a reporting because we never really believed from the outset as to the seriousness of this message.

Samsung has now also in a Statement clearly known for the continuation of the project. The first Tizen smartphone from Samsung is created thereby in cooperation with providers and ecosystem partners.

“Samsung has been actively working on Tizen eco-system, together with Tizen Association members and partners. The first Tizen based smartphone will be released in cooperation with mobile operators and eco-system partners. Samsung is committed to delivering the best mobile experience based on the open platform and a fully-ready eco-system around it.”

Update

Intel also now has the message over TizenExperts denied and is clearly committed to Tizen.

“Intel is very committed to the development of Tizen. We see a unique role for Tizen in the industry to create and to grow a new, open and flexible, mobile operating system that allows developers to “write once/run on many devices”. Tizen has received broad industry support through the Tizen Association and has achieved major milestones this year including establishing the storefront, releasing the Tizen 2.1 source code, the Tizen IVI 2.0 and the Tizen 2.2 Beta SDK that was just released yesterday.”
